Announcing BVMPL's Updated Values Statement

We are excited to unveil the library’s updated values statement, reflecting our dedication to serving the Bismarck-Burleigh community and visitors with enhanced relevance and inclusivity. For the past several months, staff reflected on the library’s core values and principles, as well as organizational culture. On August 22, 2024, the Library Board of Directors reviewed and approved the updated values statement.

As we adapt to the evolving needs of our patrons, these updated values create a moral compass for the organization and our employees. They reaffirm our commitment to being a welcoming and forward-thinking space for all. These updated values will guide our efforts to enhance your library experience and foster a more inclusive and informed community. We look forward to continuing to serve and grow with you!

Nourishing Minds and Bodies

The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library proudly serves as a donation site for the North Dakota Department of Agriculture’s Hunger Free ND Garden Project. Bring your extra produce, brushed free of dirt, to the library lobby. All are welcome to donate or take what you can use and enjoy. For more information, call the library at 701-355-1480 or visit the Hunger Free ND Garden Project website. Let’s share the abundance and nourish our community together!
