A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Cape Fear Community College

Greetings from Jim Morton - CFCC President
In the spirit of thanksgiving, thank you all for your support of Cape Fear Community College. Your input, participation, and support are invaluable to us as we discern the ways in which we'll serve and be an exceptional resource to New Hanover and Pender counties.

As we approach the close of another great semester, I am delighted to note that enrollment at this time is trending up yet once again. We are working hard to make sure that this trend continues.

CFCC Faculty/Staff Spotlight
Jeannie Jordan employee of the month
Jeannie Jordan, SR Admin Asst, VP Student Services & Enrollment Management, was the November employee of the month!

Read what one of Jeannie's colleagues had to say:

"Jeannie Jordan is such a major asset to the college. The past 2 years I have worked alongside of her. She has brought a positive atmosphere and can do attitude to our staff area. No matter how difficult the task she always completes the tasks given to her. For instance, when the state funds came in to help the students, Jeannie is the one who processed all those funds to get the student paid; she volunteers for the athletic department functions, bridge to bridge run, and graduations, etc.

Jeannie overall is kind, positive, very helpful, and a hoot to be around. For student services, I believe that she is the heart beat to keep silos from forming and encouraging others to be cheerful, helps people through difficult times, and she is so selfless. I hope this award will highlight how valued she is to us in student services."
Faculty & Staff Participate in CAM Workshop

Earlier this month, CFCC’s Center for Professional Excellence —which provides professional development opportunities and resources to faculty and staff— hosted an evening at the Cameron Art Museum.
