The beginning-of-the-year volunteer survey at www.gordonschool.org/volunteer has been reopened. Now that you've had a chance to catch your breath and get oriented, maybe take a fresh look at the voluntunities Gordon has for you.

From the GCA

Tomorrow at 8:15 am, the GCA is hosting a Coffee in the Commons to continue the conversation from Tuesday’s AISNE webinar on executive functioning. Don’t worry if you didn’t attend the webinar. Just come on by to discuss strategies for helping your child gain independence, agency, and confidence this school year with Gordon’s Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning and other members of the academic support team.

And did you know that your grade rep would be happy to talk to you about volunteering in the classroom or arranging carpools or planning parent gettogethers? If you don’t know who your grade rep is, you can find that info here!

From the Communications Office

Mr. Griffin writes:

When I use my old Nikon camera to take photos, for some reason, Instagram automatically tags those photos as "Ray Ban stories." If you dig around, you learn that this tag is meant to indicate that the photos were taken with those Meta glasses with cameras embedded in them.

I have not figured out how to prevent this. Until I do, please be assured: I am not taking photos around campus with Meta glasses. It's ironic that my most low-tech camera is triggering this high-tech response.

How well do you know Gordon's twelve acres?

Come explore the 12-Acre Classroom next Thursday, 6:30pm, with Dean Gillen,. Dr. deChabert and Ms. Dunham-Carson. RSVP www.gordonschool.org/12acre

Let’s talk!

This year’s Gordon Fund has launched! The Gordon Fund impacts every single student and family’s experience at Gordon and provides important resources that we rely on for operating costs. Our hope is that every family will support this year’s Gordon Fund. To learn more about the Gordon Fund visit www.gordonschool.org/give or contact Greg Carson at gcarson@gordonschool.org
