HOMECOMING FOR LAGUNA'S NEW MAIN OFFICE COORDINATOR
Just last week, Sara Fenu bid farewell to our main office as she embarked on her journey back to Iowa, concluding her four-year tenure with us. This week, we welcomed Daniel Reisman '14, who returns to our school community as our new Main Office Coordinator. Daniel is a familiar face to many, as he first joined Laguna in the ninth grade and subsequently graduated in 2014.

LAGUNA HELPS COLLECT 150 POUNDS OF TRASH AND RECYCLABLES
In late September, an incredible team of local volunteers, including Laguna students and faculty, undertook a clean-up operation along a one-mile stretch of Butterfly Beach as part of California Coastal Clean-up Day. We extend our gratitude to parent Allison Grisham, who organized Laguna's participation in this event. Some of the most unusual items collected included a game console, a bike frame, and a shopping cart!

THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING!
The first Family Association's Learn @ Laguna occurred this week. After informative division head updates, Lower School Counselor Sasha Johnson delved into her monthly Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) themes and the support she provides our students to understand and manage their emotions. Then, Associate Director of College Counseling Lali Otterness shed light on the measures in place to assist our seniors in their final push towards completing college applications.
Mark your calendars for the next Learn @ Laguna on November 7 at 6:30PM. Stay tuned for details!

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE'S DAY
Next Monday, October 9, we recognize the Indigenous Peoples who have been stewards of the land we call home for countless generations. We acknowledge the Chumash people, their wise elders, their future generations, as well as their traditional land. Recognizing this is an important, yet small, way to show our appreciation. To learn and grow, let's share stories (such as those featured here) about Indigenous Peoples, and celebrate their traditions, achievements, and rich culture.
