SBDC Day at the Capitol

Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm recently returned to the New York State Capitol for SBDC Day, joining senior staff from the NY Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network and fellow SBDC directors from across the state.

This annual event serves as a vital opportunity to shine a spotlight on the NYSBDC network’s range of small business client success stories and how our advisors have supported their venture, as well as engage with legislators and their staff, including Assembly Member Brian Cunningham, to discuss small businesses, including in the Pace SBDC’s expanded Brooklyn service area.

Grand Street (Williamsburg, Brooklyn) Launch Event

The Pace SBDC successfully launched in-person advisory services in Williamsburg at the Grand Street Business Improvement District's (BID) office, marking another significant milestone in our commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs.

Held at Grand Morelos, a longstanding Williamsburg business and Pace SBDC client, the event gathered Congressmember Nydia Velázquez, John Mallano, District Director of the SBA’s NY District Office, Francesca Bruce & Yaz Mansi from the Grand Street BID, and representatives from State Senator Julia Salazar’s office, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerceand Brooklyn Community Board 1.

Red Hook Service Extension

Pace SBDC is happy to share the successful launch of in-person, one-on-one business advisory services in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Thanks to the partnership with the Red Hook Business Alliance and Congressman Dan Goldman, small business owners and entrepreneurs in the area can now meet with a Pace SBDC advisor for personalized, no-cost business counseling from the Business Alliance's offices.
