October Social Emotional & Social Skills Theme: Emotional Regulation and Self-Awareness.

💭 Understand Your Emotions. Take Control of Your Response.

High school can bring stress, challenges, friendships, and big emotions. Learning to understand your feelings and manage your reactions can help you succeed both in and out of the classroom.

💡 Tips to Practice:

🧠 Know Yourself: Recognize your emotions, strengths, and triggers.

🫁 Pause & Breathe: Take a moment before reacting.

💬 Express Yourself: Communicate your feelings in a healthy, respectful way. (Ex: "I Feel"...)

💪 Choose Your Response: You may not control every situation, but you can work on how you respond.

❤️ Be Kind to Yourself: Mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow.

🙌 Ask for Help: Reaching out to someone you trust is a sign of strength.

✨ Remember: Your feelings are valid, but they don't have to control your actions. Take a breath, check in with yourself, and make choices that support your goals and well-being.
