CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Construction activities continue along the I-15 corridor, including sound wall and retaining wall installation, bridge reconstruction, and other improvements to support a wider freeway footprint. Concrete barriers

(k-rail) remain in place along freeway shoulders to create safe work zones.

What to Expect:

  • Daytime and nighttime work may impact traffic flow and travel time.
  • Expect intermittent lane closures on the freeway and ramps. Please allow extra time to reach your destination.
  • Drive with caution; watch for signage, construction vehicles, and crew members throughout the corridor.
  • Reduced speed limits are strictly enforced in construction zones to protect both drivers and workers.

All construction is dynamic and the schedule is subject to change. Please check the Google Map for the most updated closure and detour information information.

ADJACENT PROJECT INFORMATION

Starting as early as the week of July 7, Caltrans will begin work to replace the barrier on the southbound I-15 ramp to eastbound I-10. This construction is expected to continue through spring 2026. Although this is a separate project from the I-15 Corridor Freight and Express Lanes Project, the teams are working together to keep things running smoothly.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The I-15 Corridor Freight and Express Lanes Project is a collaborative effort by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in coordination with the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC). The 8-mile project from Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road in Jurupa Valley to just north of Foothill Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga will add express lanes in the median of I-15 to join the existing express lanes in Riverside County and add auxiliary lanes to improve traffic operations and safety in the vicinity of the I-15/SR 60 and I-15/I-10 interchanges.
