Thank you Captain Doug Driscoll for your Service
Captain Doug Driscoll
Growing up and living in the Bixby area his entire life, Captain Doug Driscoll has dedicated over 27.5 years to the fire service. Doug started as a volunteer in December 1994 before being hired as a fulltime firefighter in May 1998. He has fulfilled his duties as Captain for the last 13 years and in doing so has set a high standard for respect and leadership within the department.
When asked what made him want to become a firefighter, he simply stated that growing up around other firefighters and hearing their unique stories persuaded him to pursue a lifetime of helping others. Captain Driscoll also added that every call has something about it that you will remember for life, whether good or bad.

He and his wife and high school sweetheart, Paula have been married for 30 years. They have one son, Cody. Anyone that knows Doug, knows that if he’s not at the fire station or at home with his family, he’s most likely in his boat fishing

The Bixby Fire Department and the citizens of Bixby are fortunate to have had the service of Captain Doug Driscoll for all these years. He has and continues to set a fine example of hard work and character for the next generation. His leadership and dedication will truly be missed.
We all wish him well in his Retirement.

Buy Bixby 2022
Buy Bixby 2022 Logo showing starts October 30th through December 8th
Join the Bixby Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bixby as we kick off the Buy Bixby season on October 30, 2022. The Buy Bixby program highlights the Bixby business community, while featuring a variety of merchants, products and services. The increase in sales tax collections helps the City of Bixby provide necessary services to its residents and merchants.

One lucky Buy Bixby holiday shopper will receive a $10,000 cash prize! Shop at participating Bixby businesses to collect tickets, and the winning number will be drawn on December 10 in downtown Bixby after the Bixby Christmas Parade hosted by the Rotary Club of Bixby. Local businesses can participate by becoming a sponsor and receive tickets, local exposure, and increased holiday sales.

The Buy Bixby program is one of the state's most successful holiday shopping programs! It is designed to build awareness of, and excitement about, Bixby businesses. The Buy Bixby program provides people within our community and throughout the region with greater exposure to what Bixby has to offer. It helps keep more of our local citizens' shopping dollars in our community while drawing in new shoppers from outside of our community. The most exciting incentive of this program is prizes during the most wonderful time of the year!
