Bodies, Boundaries & Relationships

OWL Sex Education coming to Collegeville
Talking to teenagers about sex has always been awkward. What's different now is that we
don't always know where our kids are getting their information. It could be the
latest TikTok video. A random YouTube video. Some guy in the manosphere who had
a platform and a strong opinion.
We want to change that.
That's why we're bringing Our Whole Lives (OWL) to the community. It's a trusted, comprehensive
sex education program built on honest, accurate information, and it goes way
beyond how to have protected sex. Youth learn about communication,
understanding their own needs, consent, identity, and what healthy
relationships actually look like.
Each workshop is facilitated by two OWL-certified leaders
who are trained to create space for honest questions, real conversation, and
genuine connection with peers.
Mondays | 6:00–7:30 PM | Starting January 25, 2027

from this support? Learn more and register: owl.coeo.academy

Support Literacy & Nature: Sponsor a Storybook Trail!
Come explore our two Storybook Trails (also known as a StoryWalk®) at PV Woods!
A delightful outdoor adventure where you can explore nature while reading interactive story markers along the path.
As our motto says, ‘Step into Nature, Page by Page’. They are both conveniently located at our Main Campus in Collegeville and at our West Campus in Zieglerville. Each Storybook Trail allows you to ‘step into nature’ by displaying a children’s book spread out ‘page by page’ across 22 stations along with fun activities. Each story will be updated every quarter so there will be a total of 8 different stories displayed at our Storybook Trails every year.
We invite businesses and individuals to sponsor this exciting new program. Sponsorship opportunities include Single Title Sponsorship ($250) and Title for Both Trails ($500). PVSD is also seeking sponsors to provide print services for the posters along the trail. For more information, contact Seamus Clune sclune@pvsd.org.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program - Deadline Extended
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program provides rebates on property taxes or rent paid for the previous year by income-eligible seniors and people with disabilities. The deadline to apply has been extended to Dec. 31, 2026.
Funded by the Pennsylvania Lottery, it benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older. Rebates range from $380 to $1,000. The income limit is currently $48,110 a year for homeowners and renters, however, half of Social Security income is excluded.
Treasurer Stacy Garrity recently announced that $224.4 million in rebates have already been sent to 372,291 Pennsylvanians.

Beware of EZ Pass Scam
A new phishing scam is targeting E-ZPass account holders requesting information to settle outstanding toll amounts. The texts claim to be from “Pa Turnpike Toll Services” and center around urgent requests with your account that would result in a late fee if the balance does not get settled. Similar scams have been reported by toll agencies across the country in the past several days.
Customers who receive an unsolicited text, email or similar message suggesting it is from E-ZPass or another toll agency should not click the link. E-ZPass account holders can use approved safe methods to check their accounts such as the PA Turnpike E-ZPass website or the PA Toll Pay app available from the Apple App Store or Google Play store.
Those who receive a fraudulent text can file a complaint with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov. The site is dedicated to sharing information on internet crimes across law enforcement agencies.

Montco Tax Rebates for Volunteer Fire & EMS
The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners today authorized a property tax rebate program for volunteer members of fire companies and eligible nonprofit emergency medical service (EMS) agencies in Montgomery County to acknowledge the value and dedication of active EMS volunteers and to encourage others to become involved.
To qualify for a tax rebate under the Active Volunteer Service Tax Rebate Program, an individual must have been a member of a volunteer fire company or eligible EMS agency for the entire eligibility period. Emergency responders will be able to receive a rebate of 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of their real estate property tax of Montgomery County, depending on their participation in emergency response calls, trainings, public education activities, leadership roles, and other activities.
