Annual Campaign
Invest in Character
Our Annual Campaign provides individuals and businesses with an opportunity to support the programs and facilities of the Cradle of Liberty Council with a non-restricted gift, either recurring monthly as a member of the Liberty Society or a one-time gift. Your investment stays local to support Scouting right here in Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery Counties.
The true cost of Scouting is much greater than what local dues or event and camping fees cover. Yearly registration fees directly support the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America and help provide program development and research, literature and other resources. The Annual Campaign gives individuals and businesses the opportunity to contribute to the Cradle of Liberty Council at a level of their own choosing according to their interest and ability to give.
People can donate directly to the District or through your Unit.
Do you have a Unit Champion? If not, reach out to our District Fundraising Specialist Ryan Martin or Campaign Chair Dave Bryan to learn more.

Fun Fact to Know
Troop 71, founded on 10/10/1910 in Merion Station, is also known as Merion Liberty Troop. What is a Liberty Troop? During World War I, troops were asked to sell war bonds, and the most effective troops were bestowed the "Liberty Troop" distinction by the Secretary of the Treasury. Merion Liberty Troop sold $1.4 million in bonds, and today is the last remaining Liberty Troop in the nation.
