Overview of the Funding Opportunity
Through recent COVID-19 supplemental appropriations from Congress, CDC will award up to $159 million (total funding) to federally recognized tribes and tribal organizations that contract or compact with the Indian Health Service under Title I and Title V of the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act, or consortia of these tribes, or their bona fide agents.
This funding is intended to carry out surveillance, epidemiology, laboratory capacity, infection control, mitigation, communications, and other preparedness and response activities for COVID-19. The initial period of performance is 12 months and those who apply can receive up to $1,500,000.
Application Process
CDC developed a
work plan template
and
application checklist
to ease the application process for you. Follow the
work plan guidance
and reference the checklist to complete your application. This is not a competitive award so all who apply and meet eligibility requirements will be awarded funding. CDC will work Tribes and Tribal Organizations to ensure that they meet all criteria to submit an application successfully.
