Friends of Downtown Beloit - Mel Donny Flower Fund

April showers bring May flowers!

Thank you to the amazing donors who have helped make it rain so Downtown Beloit can bloom even brighter this year! We raised $1,292 this past month, and our campaign continues into May.

For the next two weeks, The Donny Family is matching up to $1,000 in new donations in honor of Mel Donny — a tireless enthusiast for Downtown Beloit who generously cared for the flowers in urns and hanging baskets throughout downtown for more than four years.

Past beautification projects have included sculptures (summer pieces now on display and deer in winter), raised beds, planters, self‑watering hanging baskets, and more. This year, we’re adding 34 additional hanging baskets, bringing our totals to 7 large planters, 30 small planters, and 94 hanging baskets — a record number of blooms for Downtown Beloit!
