UUFF eNews - Week of October 22, 2026

Sunday 11am Service

Sunday, October 25th, 11am: "Jazz Imitates Life." Join Rev. Renée this Sunday for an exploration on how Jazz imitates life. "Life is a lot like Jazz....it's best when you improvise." ~ Gershwin.

This Sunday we will Share the Plate with the Arkansas Citizens First Congress. CFC is a multi-issue, non-partisan coalition of organizations working together to ensure that the public is being heard and served by our state legislature. 50% of loose collection plate cash and specially-designated checks/cash (please make checks out to UUFF and write "Share Plate" on memo line) will be given to this worthy organization. Check out https://www.citizensfirst.org/ for more information.

You can attend this service in person at the fellowship building or view it remotely online via Facebook Live Stream. To attend live via Facebook, wait until 11am Central Time (CDT) and go to: https://www.facebook.com/share/1E5x3UAjfY/ and click on "Watch Live Video. All participants must be registered. Parents/Guardians can fill out a paper form at UUFF or register kids online using the QR code below.

10am Mindful Discussions for Adults

This Sunday's Topic: "Election Anxiety." Election season is upon us once again and for some people this brings a sense of anxiety and stress. In a 2023 survey by the American Psychiatric Association, 73 percent of U.S. adults reported feeling anxious about the 2024 election. While voting is an essential part of our democracy, the process leading up to and following elections can be very stressful. Whether it's the seemingly unending political ads, or trying to sort out who to vote for or how to vote on specific ballot measures, everything involved can feel overwhelming. Join us this week as we explore the topic of election anxiety and what we can do to make this season more manageable.

Youth are always welcome to participate in the Mindful Discussions, and childcare is available for ages 0-10 starting at 9:45am.

UUFF Cares

UUFF Member, Linda "Journey" Flores (pictured) is in critical condition at Washington Regional in ICU room 2217 after suffering a heart attack and stroke.

Anyone who knows Linda is encouraged to visit as soon as possible, as she may not have long. She has been unresponsive, but visits are still appreciated. Husband Rob Pressman could use some comfort and encouragement as well, as he goes through this awful time. Cards can be sent to 4594 E. Huntsville Rd., Fayetteville, AR 72701.
