Message from President
Carrie Pavis
Hello SI Chico,

I want to start by thanking all of you who attended our first virtual business meeting, we were able to get a lot done and be together virtually. I really miss our meetings and I am missing all of you dearly. We are going to continue with our virtual SI Chico meetings the first three Wednesday’s of the month. This week we will have Katy from the Chico Chamber of Commerce speaking to us and next week we will have the pleasure of hearing from Gayle Hutchinson. The meetings will start at 11:45am with some time for visiting and checking equipment and then we will begin the agenda at 12:00.

Co-chairs, thank you so much for all of your hard work and planning this year, I cherish all of you and feel beyond blessed that I had you by my side. I need one more thing from you and that is the end of the year reports. Please e-mail them to me and I will get them into drop box.

Also, if you are moving on and will no longer be a Co-chair, can you add to your reports any tips that made being a co-chair easier, things you would change and how you have used this knowledge to help your committee.  In addition, if you have any committee relevant information on your personal computer, please load it to Dropbox for use of future committee members.

I am not sure what will happen in June if we will get to go back to club or if our year will end on Zoom. I will let you know as soon as I know anything.

President-Elect
100 Year Legacy Project
This project will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Soroptimist. Our organization was started by a dedicated group of women who came together to network and help improve the lives of women and girls.

In honor of our founding sisters and to celebrate our SI Chico Club history, we would like to do a club legacy project that will benefit our local community for years to come. This project will be a joint project starting during President Billie’s club year and continuing through President Sara's club year.

Billie and Sara are compiling a list of suggestions for our SI Chico Club Legacy Project. They would like to encourage all club members to share their suggestions through this survey. If you have an idea how our club could make a lasting impact on our local community through our 100 Year Legacy Project please submit it.

With Gratitude,

Billie and Sara

As you may have suspected, The 2020 Home and Garden Show will not be taking place this month as originally planned. Instead, it has been rescheduled to the new dates of July 25 and July 26 . Our obligation and schedule will remain the same, however we will start over with a new sign-up genius. We realize it's difficult to know what our plans will be in July, but please go ahead and sign up and each of us can easily change our chosen shift if needed at a later date.

Thank-you everyone!
