October is here and the weather is still fantastic for golf! Rack up a few more rounds and register for an upcoming fall golf event like Naperville’s Fall Scramble or their popular Turkey Shoot! Get into the season of Fall with the upcoming Korn Ferry Tour Championship event at French Lick Resort! See future golf stars contend for one of the top 20 spots on the PGA Tour! Golf’s crème de la crème will rise to the top! This tournament is the concluding event of the combined 2024-2025 Korn Ferry Tour Season.

Korn Ferry TOUR Championship Presented by United Leasing & Finance

THE FINAL STAGE TO PGA TOUR STATUS FOR THE TOP 20!

The Korn Ferry Tour’s top 75 players will compete for one of 20 coveted spots on the PGA TOUR at the upcoming Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. The event will be held again at the Pete Dye Course at French Lick from October 6 through October 12. This tournament features a $1.5 million purse and will conclude with the PGA Tour Card Ceremony. All 75 qualified participants will play four rounds without cuts. Competitors who reach the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at French Lick Resort will earn fully exempt membership for 2026. Players ranked 76-100 receive conditional status, while those outside this range face an uncertain future regarding their tour eligibility.

Ravisloe Country Club’s 4th Annual Arboretum Day Celebration – Dedicate A Tree To A Loved One!

Ravisloe Country Club continues to enjoy a Level I accreditation by the Arbnet Arboretum Program and the Morton Arboretum for achieving standards of professional practices deemed important for arboreta and botanical gardens.

The Arbnet Arboretum Program is the only global initiative to recognize arboreta at various levels of development and capacity. Ravisloe has been formally recognized as an accredited arboretum with the Morton Arboretum. The accreditation which Ravisloe achieved makes it the first golf course arboretum in the world. Ravisloe Arboretum contains more than 3,000 trees from at least 60 different species.

Dedicate A Tree And A Plaque To A Loved One!

Come out and celebrate their 4th annual Arboretum Day event on Monday, October 13, starting at 10am to 2pm. Ride or walk the course and pick out a tree to dedicate to someone special.

With over 3,000 trees and 60 different species on the course, you can remember a loved one with a special plaque at the tree that you choose.

Lost Marsh 14th Annual Chili Open – A Popular Sell-Out – Sunday, October 26!

A Hot Event With A Cool Day Of Fun And Great Chili!

Get ready to spice up your game at the 14th Annual Chili Open at Lost Marsh Golf Course! Join your best buds on Sunday, October 26 for a day filled with excitement, fun and lots of flavor. For $500 per team, you and your three teammates will enjoy 18 holes of golf in an exhilarating 4-person scramble format, cruising in your included cart. Also, savor unlimited chili and hot dogs throughout the day, and don't miss your chance to compete in the "Best Original Chili" contest.

Bring your best chili recipe and you could walk away with more than just bragging rights! Prizes will be up for grabs, adding to the festive atmosphere.

White Hawk Country Club’s Chili Big Cup Scramble, Saturday, October 25!

CHILI BIG CUP SCRAMBLE, Saturday, October 25, 2025. This event is open to the Public and White Hawk Members.

Four-person teams. White tees for men, gold tees for seniors (65+), red tees for women.

Two Flights, blind flighted (flights determined after scores are posted, top half, bottom half).

FORMAT/TEAMS/TEES

1. Big Cup Scramble format.

2. Four person teams, make your own team.

3. White tees for men, gold tees for seniors (65+), red tees for women.

4. Black to Red and Grey to Silver course rotation--subject to change. Teams will be given course rotation randomly.

5. Shotgun start at 10:00 am using all four nines.

ENTRY/HANDICAP

1. $50 entry fee for members, $87 for non-members, includes prizes, chili buffet, and two drink tickets.

PAYOUT/TIES/RAIN OUT

1. Two Flights, blind flighted (flights determined after scores are posted, top half, bottom half).

2. Payout to 25% of field in golf shop merchandise gift cards.

3. Ties will be broken by matching cards in reverse order, beginning with #18.
