The Message this Week

Preaching Text: Luke 24:1-12

Christ is Risen! If you come on Easter Sunday we will sing this phrase over and over again set to different tunes. The thing is, we won’t see Jesus in the story. What we will see is disbelief, shock, and fear. I don’t know about you, but I find this encouraging. Our understanding of the resurrection is a work in progress, it is something that grows in us and with us. Easter is only the beginning!

Holy God, thank you for the promise of new life after death and for the space and time to grow into the reality of this Good News! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

WONDERING...

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.

How do we have fun on Easter with candy and baskets and bunnies without losing sight of the resurrection story and Jesus?

Maundy Thursday - Thursday, April 17 at *7PM

Good Friday - Friday, April 18 at *7PM, Kids Journey to the Cross at 6:45PM

Easter Vigil - Saturday, April 19 at *8PM (No 5PM service)

Easter Sunday - Sunday, April 20 at 8AM, *9:30AM, & 11AM

*These services will be livestreamed on Youtube.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no nursery or Sunday School on Easter Sunday.

• Encourage all who seek creative ways to share the good news of Christ’s resurrection. Bless mission developers and new ministries, that their work plant seeds that flourish.
• Shower forests and grasslands, deserts, and mountains with life-giving rains. Grant us delight in your glory that shows forth in all that grows this season.
• As you raised Jesus from the dead, bring new hope for peace and reconciliation in places of war and strife. Raise up leaders who are steadfast in their commitment to justice and transformation.
• Bring new hope among all who are in need, especially neighbors without homes or food, and those whose housing or food supply is at risk. Bring healing to all who are fearful, ill, or grieving.
• Open our hearts to ways you are calling us to be at work in the world and our community . Give us courage to boldly share your love for all people beyond our walls.

We commend these and all our prayers to you, O God, trusting that you are always with us; in the name of Jesus Christ, our risen Savior. Amen.
