Roseville Parent Project Graduation

Congratulations to this courageous and passionate group of Latino/a parents and their children, who completed a 16-week Parent Project class! We had over 20 families participate and graduate the Winter 2023 class. This is a testament to their dedication and commitment.

A huge shout out to the promotores for their ongoing commitment to the children and parents they support in our community.

LLC's Newest Staff Member

A huge welcome to Sherri Adams, who has joined the Latino Leadership Council as our new Bookkeeper. Sherri is passionate about LLC’s mission and is honored to work for an organization serving so many families in our community.

When she’s not crunching numbers, Sherri enjoys acting and singing in community theatre, watching movies, and hanging out with her two sons, ages 19 and 21. She is also bilingual in Spanish!

Client Impact

Three years ago, this family reached out to LLC in search of support and assistance. They were experiencing behavioral issues with their youth as well as domestic violence.

Promotora Nidia connected the family with mental health resources and encouraged the mother to participate in LLC's wellness group "Superación Personal.” The family's determination didn't stop there. The mother also joined Parent Project classes and the children joined YEAGA, the youth diversion program. Through these services and resources, the family has stated that they are stable and thriving more than ever!

"Nidia and the LLC have given our family the necessary tools to better communicate with each other and overcome our difficult life dynamics!"

Latino Leadership Council continues to guide and support many families such as this through their unique and courageous journeys.

Entre Amigos Kitchen

We kicked off our first cooking class of the year by baking conchas with our Entre Amigos youth group! The youth learned about the history of the concha and were excited to see their creations form into the pan dulce they all know and love at Latinx bakeries.

Entre Amigos Rebounderz

On January 27th, LLC's Entre Amigos & Chiquillos youth programs kicked off their first in-person event by heading to the trampoline park Rebounderz. Youth were excited to see each other after the holidays, and now that school has begun, they are looking forward to more events that will keep them connected. Parents expressed gratitude for programs and a community that help their children stay culturally aware, engaged, and safe.
