(M) WVP's Water Quality Monitoring in Action through Surveys and Testing

Animal, Chemical or Mineral?

Today, Wednesday, November 13th, we're honoring the volunteers who take part in WVP's (M)onitoring efforts at our annual Water Quality Monitoring Celebration. It's a chance to recognize the work that monitors have accomplished over the past year and look forward towards how we can work together with our Watershed Partners in 2025.

WVP takes a holistic approach to the health of our waterways and waterbodies. We engage in biological, chemical and physical monitoring to paint a true picture of our watershed. Tonight's presentation will touch on the work we're doing through ODNR's Scenic Rivers Program, Izaac Walton League's Salt Watch, Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District's Water Chemistry Program, as well as, two special presentations on our Winter Stonefly Survey and Bank Erosion Hazard Index at Dusty Goldenrod Preserve.

We want to salute all of the volunteers who continue to make our program a success while noting our most distinguished water quality monitors. Congratulations to the 17 volunteers whose 2024 contributions have gone above and beyond:
