If you have a prayer request, please contact the church office or place the name of the person on the prayer list located on the bulletin board in the breezeway. The name will stay on the list for 4 weeks. They may be re-added at the end of the 4 week period.

An update to Our Prayer List

Our prayer list is an important part of our church community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to hold one another in prayer. From time to time, it is helpful to update the list and begin anew. We would like to begin publishing the new list December 15, 2026.

If you would like a name included on our new prayer list, please sign up on the bulletin board in the breezeway, call the church office, or submit a prayer request through the newsletter.

Thank you for helping us keep our prayer list current as we continue to hold one another in prayer and care. .

All Saint' Day

Sunday, November 1, we will observe All Saints’ Day, a special time to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away.

Sign-up sheets will be available on the bulletin board for those who wish to submit names. There are two separate lists:

Those who have died between November 2025 and November 2026: These names will be read aloud during the church service.

Those who died prior to November 2025: These names will be printed in the Sunday bulletin.

Please add the names of your loved ones to the appropriate sign-up sheet so that we may remember them together on this special day.

Stewardship Sunday & Pledge Sunday

Please join us as we observe Stewardship Sunday on November 8 and Pledge Sunday on December 6. Stewardship is our prayerful response to God’s abundant generosity, offered through our time, talents, and financial gifts. We invite all members to reflect on how they are called to support the ministry and mission of our parish in the coming year, and to bring their pledge cards on Pledge Sunday as a sign of gratitude and commitment. Thank you for your faithful support of our life together in Christ.

Grace Church Youth Group

The Grace Church Talleyville Youth Group for ages 12 to 18 meets monthly on Sundays in the Parish Hall. See the Parish Hall bulletin board for details on the meeting each month or use the button below to contact the leader for more information.

Childrens Christian Education Begins

Sunday School for children ages 4 through 12 begins at 10 AM on Sundays. We will meet in the parish hall. Details are on the parish hall bulletin board. Hope to see you there!

Vestry Corner 10/21/2026

During Vestry meetings there have been conversations about this amazing property with its open spaces. Recently, the National Episcopal Church announced Creation Care grant opportunities for Episcopal Churches to connect to nature. The short story is that we have applied for a grant. Our grant application says that we would like to develop a closer relationship with the natural world through presentations, caring for our property, and having outdoor activities here at Grace. But first we need a plan and that is what we are asking for in our application. More to come. Pray for our success.

I am happy to report, the electrical work was completed last week. If you are here at night, you will notice that there is a new light shining on the small parking lot. Now we have energy efficient lights on the outside of the buildings that are no longer constantly on. And the light in the church sacristy that was not working has been fixed, which fixed several other issues with the lights in the pipe room and the light at the top of the back of the church. Thank you for your contributions to our Safety Fund.

Donate to the Claymont Community Market & Garden

Each year, the Market provides more than 2,000 food visits to over 500 households, helping about 1,200 adults and children meet their nutritional needs. Your support helps them continue this vital work.

Donations can be left in the Breezeway hall across from the rest rooms.

Navigating worldly realities

Fr. Greg Wilson's video for October 18, 2026 invited us into the challenging work of discernment, reminding us that we walk with one foot in the resurrection and the other in a Good Friday world. Jesus didn't come to take away our brains but to invite us to use our God-given capacity to reason as we navigate daily choices between what belongs to the world and what belongs to God. We're offering a five-day devotional this week to help you reflect on these themes—exploring how we use the gift of reason in faith, where we're called to holy disturbance, and how we make kingdom choices in ordinary moments.

In Appreciation

We are grateful for the time, talent and treasure shared by:

  • Ramsey’s Farm for the fall decoration of the front entrance of the church.

  • Julia and Dan Morse for organizing the Tricks and Treats Community Dinner on Saturday, along with all the volunteers who signed up or showed up to help.

  • Linda Adams for hosting the Coffee Hour on Sunday.
