Meet Darci Freeman! She is a stay-at-home mom and has attended Lakewood UMC since 1987 - whaaaaat?!! When she’s not “super cool, crafty mom,” you can find her volunteering here in Sunday School, VBS, and Special Events. Volunteering in children’s ministries is important to Darci, because “It is so important to raise up tiny disciples so that they can grow closer to Christ as they grow older. Knowing Jesus and living for him is so important, and I want to help kiddos get a head start on that.” Mrs. Darci loves volunteering and seeing the kids living out what they have learned - it’s so exciting!!! When she’s not volunteering, Mrs. Darci loves to craft and create, and if she can personalize it, she “TOTALLY will!!!!!” If you know Mrs. Darci, you know that she loves to laugh, so you better believe she’s got a joke for you! “How do you catch a unique rabbit?! You “nique” up on it. How do you catch a tame rabbit?! Tame way, you “nique” up on it.” One final thought from Mrs. Darci, “Getting involved in church, as a family, and making it a priority in your life is the best thing you can do. Having that foundation in Christ, as a family, is a game changer! With Christ y’all can conquer ANYTHING together!”
And, let me introduce the amazing Misty Celli! She is transitioning from our receptionist to the Membership Coordinator. She has attended Lakewood for 7 years and has worked here for about 4 years. Why is Misty here?! “We have some of the most amazing people; dedicated, friendly, loving and doers!” When Misty isn’t working, attending, or volunteering at Lakewood, she enjoys road tripping, outdoor stuff, and shopping.
