The Ontario Government has now mandated the closure of all non-essential businesses as of midnight, Tuesday, March 24/20. A list of workplaces that will be allowed to remain open, has been released.
Yes! We Are Open. We're Here for You
We are considered an essential service under:
Section 71. Businesses that provide for
the health and welfare of animals
Holiday Pet Care serves clients from all walks of life and that includes clients who are professionals as well as other essential workers. We continue to operate to support our community and to serve families who need us.
We have always been committed to being here for you and that’s why we’ve keeping our centre open to serve you during this uncertain time.
We Appreciate the Trust You've Placed in Us
Although this service amounts to only a handful of dogs each day, we assure you that we will remain open as long as we possibly can, doing what we do best... caring for your four-legged fur-babies.
To ensure proper social distancing within our centre, we are operating with very minimal staffing. Right now, it's just me, Cheryl, the owner, here. It's a one woman show! I am the Front Desk Attendant, the Daycare Attendant and the Overnight Attendant. The handful of dogs that come for Daycare are still quite an entertaining bunch (lots of fetch and wrestling going on). At night it's quite cozy, with the 2 or 3 dogs that are Boarding!
Basically, we just wanted to let you know that we are available if you need care for your dog - Daycare, Overnight Boarding or essential Grooming.
We've Got Check In & Out by Phone & Doggie Valet Service
Please try to minimize your stress, especially during the current situation. Stress lowers immunity. So if your dog is driving you crazy at home perhaps both of you could benefit from having them come to play, and wear off their excess energy. Consider us. We'd love to help.
Or perhaps you still have to work and/or you're working long hours right now. You'd probably prefer having a tired dog at the end of your long day!
Call Us to Book!
You'll also be helping to support a local, small business, as we remain open during this challenging time. Plus feel-good fuzzies are a good boost for your immune system.
COVID-19 Is Not Spread By Dog-to-Dog
nor Dog-to-Human Contact
We are still asking that you take the same precautions we laid out in the previous email we sent out, regarding our Doggie Valet Service (we come out to your car) OR Self-Service (using gloves if you choose to come into the building). Click the button below to read more.
Please DO NOT come out of your house if you are ill in any way, in quarantine or self-isolation, or if anyone in your household is in quarantine or self-isolation after travel or possible exposure.
