There’s still time to make a difference in the elections!

voting rights toolkit

Once again this year – in many local, state, and national elections – a few votes can make a huge difference! In these last days before the polls close, you can make use of the materials available on our new Freedom to Vote webpage. That’s where you’ll find the Voting Rights Toolkit (VRT), with its assortment of information, resources, graphics, and tools.

The VRT includes resources for social media campaigns, suggested actions to take, and additional information, including links to organizations and resources to assist with voting rights rallies, campaigns, and events. Arising out of the WILPF US Solidarity Action on protecting voting rights, the VRT project was undertaken by the Voting Rights ad hoc Committee – with particular contributions by Ashley Carrington, Judy Adams, and the Cape Cod Branch. WILPF thanks the committee for its innovation and diligence in creating this toolkit – here.

WILPF’s voting rights actions back up the work of our partner, the Poor People’s Campaign. In these final days, Get Out The Vote efforts across the country will engage in a final push to turn out underrepresented voters. Your branch – and/or you, individually – can be part of that. Look for ways to combine efforts with a local nonpartisan and like-minded organization already engaged in voting rights work. By connecting with others who support peace and justice, you help build a local network of partners.

When we put the VRT materials to use, we are connecting to the historical efforts of the suffragists and other voting rights activists who came before us!
