We are excited to announce that the women’s locker room suit spinner has been replaced, ensuring a more efficient and reliable experience for users. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We appreciate your continued support as we strive to keep things spinning smoothly at the Beede Center.

Your safety is our top priority at the Beede Center, and we want to ensure that everyone enjoys their time at the pool while also staying safe. With the summer season upon us, it's crucial to address pool safety protocols, especially during inclement weather. Thunder and lightning storms pose significant risks when swimming or being near water. Even if the storm seems distant, lightning can strike unexpectedly.

Following any sound or sighting of a thunderstorm, all pools and the pool deck will be required to close for a minimum of 30 minutes.  The pools and pool deck will remain closed until the storm has passed and 30 minutes has elapsed since the last detection of lightning or thunder. During the closure period, we ask that all members and guests vacate the pool deck area and seek shelter within the main part of the building until the all-clear signal is given.

This precautionary measure is in line with industry standards and ensures the protection of all our members and guests. By adhering to this temporary closure policy, we mitigate potential dangers and create a safer environment for everyone.

Our staff will monitor weather conditions closely and will provide updates regarding the pool's reopening. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we prioritize your safety. Please refer to page 17 of the member handbook for additional information.
