Live Performance: David Krakauer and Kathleen Tagg
Bard Conservatory clarinet and chamber music faculty member David Krakauer and South African pianist Kathleen Tagg will be performing two intimate acoustic duo concerts celebrating the release of their new album  Breath & Hammer .

A concert dedicated to Peter Serkin: Tomoki Park '19 and Yezu Woo '17
Current IEMA (International Ensemble Modern Academy) scholarship holders Yezu Woo (violin) and Tomoki Park (piano) first met in New York in 2015 at Bard College Conservtory of Music and have since given concerts as a duo worldwide - for example in Berlin, Verona, Paris and in their hometowns of Chuncheon, Korea and Yokohama, Japan. On April 27, they presented works for piano and violin by Toru Takemitsu that have shaped his compositional curriculum vitae for over 30 years, as well as the only piece by Messiaen for this instrumentation - one of his most important early works. The two composers share a spiritual and creative relationship. Takemitsu saw himself as self-taught, with the exception of a one-hour composition lesson that he received from Messiaen.

Peter Serkin was a Bard Conservatory faculty member until his death in January 2020.
