AAUW-Big Rapids Reminders

Orientation Meeting for "New/Newish" and Prospective Members

Wed., May 28, 5:30pm

422 Linden Street

Big Rapids

This inaugural orientation get-together was mentioned at the Annual Meeting, but if you aren't a "newish" member and couldn't attend last week's meeting, you might not have heard about it yet.

Our co-VPs of Membership, Sarah Lucas and Débora Borba, are hosting this meeting at Sarah's house this Wednesday. All members are invited to attend for a primer/refresher on the AAUW mission at the national, state, and local levels and to welcome new and prospective members to our branch. Thank you, Sarah and Débora!

Cocktails & Convos: FSU Museum of Sexist Objects Storytelling Community

Thurs., May 29, 5:30pm 422 Linden Street

Big Rapids

The latest in our series of "Cocktails & Convos" is this Thursday. Our topic of discussion will be the Ferris Museum of Sexist Objects (MOSO). MOSO director, Dr. Tracy Busch, will talk about the museum and how attendees can participate in its mission by joining the MOSO Storytelling Community.

Sarah would like a headcount to make sure she has enough seats, so please email sarahdwn30@gmail.com to let her know if you plan to come and if you can bring a food/beverage item.
