Wajir County Outreach

AFM's Fire Safety Advocate, Errol Sianga, traveled to Wajir County for outreach and training! Last year, AFM's partner Fire Aid donated a fire apparatus vehicle to the county to assist in their emergency response. Errol provided key updated training on how to effectively use the vehicle, in addition to joining community leaders for fire prevention outreach and firefighter training.

We're excited to see the progress in Wajir and look forward to continued communication between Fire Aid, Wajir County officials, and AFM.

The Impact of
Community Fire Prevention Training

AFM is proud to support the growth and development of first responders across Sub-Saharan Africa. As departments and their leaders increase their skills and outreach, we're excited to foster a community of growth that keeps more people safe all around the world.

Recently, one of AFM's Volunteer Fire Safety Advocates, Cyrus Kalemungorok, wrote about his experience in West Pokot and shared some of the exciting developments in his county's fire service. Read his full account on our blog!
