Winston Students and Families,

I hope this message finds you well and off to a great start this semester. I want to take a moment to emphasize how important regular school attendance is to your child’s success. Each day in class provides valuable learning, discussion, and collaboration that simply can’t be replaced. When students are present and engaged, they build confidence, strengthen relationships, and keep pace with the learning that happens every day.

Lately, we’ve noticed more absences before and after weekends or school breaks. While we understand that family time and rest are essential, we encourage everyone to plan trips and appointments around our scheduled days off whenever possible. Making these plans in alignment with the school calendar helps ensure that students don’t miss important lessons or fall behind.

Every day matters—especially for growing learners who depend on classroom routines, teacher guidance, and peer interaction. Thank you for partnering with us to help every student be here, prepared, and ready to learn. Together, we can support consistency, responsibility, and success for all our students.

With appreciation,

Kelsey Garrison

Principal
