Thank you to everyone who attended the first annual Pizza on the Patio on Saturday, June 27th. It was wonderful to reconnect, and see new connections form over pizza, a glass of wine, and some snacks!
Chris created a variety of pizzas to sample, and everyone left with full bellies. Congratulations to Peggy, who won the door prize basket. Missed this one? We’ll host another next year - keep an eye out for details!

REALTORS Care® Day is an opportunity for us to come together across the country to support local charities and help strengthen the communities where we live and work.
On Thursday, August 6th, I joined colleagues at the Windsor Sobeys to collect food and financial contributions to support Harvest House. It was inspiring to see how many folks stopped by to share a story about the local food bank, to ask what was needed most, or thank one of the volunteers. IIt was a great reminder of how connected and generous this community is! If you weren’t able to attend, please consider a donation to your local food bank this month.

Join us September 19th and 20th as we put Hope in Motion!
The purpose of this event is to raise funds for our charitable society A Home for Everyone, helping Nova Scotians achieve home ownership. I support this cause by making a financial contribution at the close of each real estate transaction, and by volunteering my time as the Co-Chair and Board Member for the Annapolis Valley region. We are currently working with two families right here in Nova Scotia, helping one return home safely and another find their first home. Seeing first-hand the impact this organization has on our local community is truly powerful.
I plan to walk the 3km and run the 10km distances for Hope in Motion - I would be honoured if you would consider walking or running with me, or making a financial donation to support the charity!
| | In speaking with industry members, the words “weird” and “wonky” were often heard when describing the market! In the Valley, we saw a small uptick in median sales price and total sales volume in July, but overall fewer closed sales and a large increase in months of inventory. The increased inventory gave buyers more choice and additional time to make informed decisions, and in some cases resulted in softening of prices for Sellers. Across the province, key indicators point toward a more balanced market than the exceptionally active conditions of recent years. | | |
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) noted “the national sales forecast for 2026 was revised slightly lower, reflecting the weak first half of the year” as a result of inflation fears, mortgage rates, and population changes. On a national level “Higher levels of activity are still expected across the board next year, with the Prairies and Ontario doing a little better than previously forecast, while Quebec and the East Coast are forecast to be slightly less active than expected earlier this year.”
Overall, past or current market trends are far more reliable than predicting future activity. As CREA noted, external factors such as inflation, interest rates, and population growth have seen “some of the wildest swings on record in the first half of the 2020s.” I may not be able to see into the future, but am always happy to share what the market data is showing or general sentiments from industry members. If you’re curious about further market information, please reach out.

Your referrals and feedback are truly the highest compliment! If you've enjoyed our working relationship, I would be honored if you would consider leaving a Google review or sending along a brief testimonial that I can use in my marketing materials.
If you know someone considering buying or selling in the area, please feel free to pass along my contact information. Working with a referral is exciting because I know the person will be wonderful, coming from someone I already trust and respect. Thank you for your continued support!

My mom, sisters and nephew visited from Alberta at the end of July. We spent a week touring the province, eating local food, relaxing in the yard, and sharing many laughs. It was a great reminder of what a beautiful place we live, and how many incredible and diverse places there are to explore!
The garden is flourishing with the best crop of cucumbers and basil I’ve ever had! We’ve enjoyed fresh salads, cooking with all the herbs, and picking small bouquets to decorate the house or give away to friends.
Thanks to my neighbour, I’ve got back into running this summer. So far I’ve completed the Hantsport Canada Day 2 mile race (with my neighbour, dressed as a lobster), the Annapolis Royal 5k race, and the Middleton Heart 10k race. It’s been a great way to get active and explore some of the province.

We are looking forward to some travel this Fall, first with a trip to see Dave Matthews Band at The Gorge over the September long weekend. In October we are off to France for ten days exploring Paris and Bordeaux. We’ve wanted to visit this part of the world for years, and are excited to finally make it happen. Many thanks to all who have provided us with feedback from their trips, and shared recommendations! If you have any suggestions of places to eat or visit, I’d love to hear them.
Wishing everyone a restful remainder of the summer, and a great kick off to Fall!
Warmly,
