See you soon!
The OICMF Eastsound Street Piano gets the coveted Jon Kimura Parker Smile of Approval!
London, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Sydney, New York, these are all cities that have public street pianos. Now Eastsound can be added to that list! On Tuesday, June 26th, OICMF planted Orcas Island’s first street piano! If you hear live piano music wafting through the air on your next visit to Eastsound, thank the Deer Harbor Community Club for the piano, Mimi and Slim Sommerville for piano storage and moving, Rick and Marlace Hughes for providing its new home, and Sallie Bell and Martin Lund for the bench. We are grateful to them all for their help in making OICMF's piano dream into a reality. Maybe you’ll want to offer a tune yourself…let the music play!
OICMF Alumni Artist and Orcas Island jazz legend Martin Lund was the first to play.
Thank you Mimi and Slim!
It's all happening on OICMF Social Media!
