CHANGE YOU CAN SEE

Middle Creek Drive Rehabilitation

Crews working on Middle Creek Drive in early 2026.

Construction began on the Middle Creek Drive Rehabilitation project in January 2026 and the contractor has already finished installing the underdrain on the westbound travel lane. Next, they'll move to the eastbound lane before continuing on to the next layer of work.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Old Black Colony Road Rehabilitation

The City has received the first set of proposed easements and right-of-way boundaries from the project surveyor, marking the first step in the land acquisition phase of the project.

This finalizes identified areas where the City will need to construct the planned improvements, such as space for utilities, drainage, sidewalks, or roadway work. Once these areas are surveyed, the City can prepare the agreements needed before construction can begin.

West Goforth Road Reconstruction

The engineering team is currently advancing the project through the 60% design phase and expects to have updated plans ready in early April for City review, comments, and future public discussion.



Construction timing will depend on the completion of the design process as well as the acquisition of any necessary right-of-way and easements needed to build the improvements.

Garison Park Phase I

The Garison Park project is moving closer to construction! The project has been advertised for construction bids, and contractors are currently preparing proposals. Bids are anticipated to open in April 2026, after which the City Council will review submissions and work toward selecting a contractor to begin building the park improvements.
