A D'var Torah from CHUSY's Religion Education VP, Maton Mlotek:
|
|
Shabbat Shalom CHUSY. This week’s parsha, Vayakhel, discusses the building of the tabernacle. The tabernacle was a space for God to dwell among the people and was a symbol of the bond between Israel and God. Before the building of the tabernacle life in the service of God was complicated with the people asking Moshe questions from dawn to dusk. With the building of the tabernacle worshiping God became much simpler. The COVID-19 pandemic has complicated many aspects of Jewish life particularly worship. Now that we see the light of at the end of the tunnel we will return to shul and see the return of the heavenly presence to our communal sanctuaries.
Shabbat Shalom,
Maton Mlotek
2020-2021 CHUSY Religion/Education Vice President
