The Community Meditation led by Paula McCree will continue every Thursday evening. The meditation sessions are offered free of charge to the community (suggested donation $10 to help defray the cost). The sessions include gentle seated movement, breathwork and guided meditation. No experience is necessary. We hope you will join us and bring your friends and neighbors.

The Second Sunday collection this Sunday, November 8, will go to the Hingham Food Pantry in honor and in memory of Susan Kiernan, its founder and director for 35 years. Second Parish has been the home of the HFP since Sue Kiernan and a small group of women identified the need for food assistance for families in Hingham, and looked for a space to house a Food Pantry. Second Parish offered a dedicated space, and the rest is history. Now staffed by more than 100 volunteers, the HFP serves more than 160 families in Hingham who face food insecurity. These dedicated volunteers continue Sue’s legacy and carry her mission forward.

Please give generously as you are able.

Food Donations for the Food Pantry

We will again be collecting non-perishable food items for the Hingham Food Pantry. This month the following items are on the HFP wishlist:



• jars of pasta sauce
• rice side dishes
• hearty meat soups
• cookies
• cold cereal

When you are shopping this week, think about adding some of these items to your cart.
