Dear Friends,
September already?... is what many of you are commenting as you come to Chameleon to prepare for the holidays. And as is typical in our business... the rush is on! Our workroom team is pumping out orders and the message is get your projects in the queue now for Thanksgiving or Christmas completion.
A special thank you for all the thoughts, prayers and well-wishes you extended for my dear husband Win's recovery from heart surgery. Hundreds of you watched the little video of him chopping the avocado tree in "preparation for his surgery". Well, he's recovered beautifully and is back at less strenuous gardening projects like trimming the roses!

I am especially excited about our Fall Design & Dine Event featuring tabletop decor - inspired by plates from the dollar store! I hope you can attend our presentation. We are now charging $10.00 and will be designating a different charity recipient each event.

See below for our fall classes, winners of fabric voting and special sales. September 29th will be the Harvest Festival Parade in The Arroyo Grande Village and I will be recouping my appearance in the parade as the "Queen of Fabric!" (The last time was 20 years ago.) The store will be open following the parade.

paired with appetizers, libations, door prizes and camaraderie.

Camay Arad of Chameleon Arroyo Grande will be showing the three simple steps of the Chameleon Style® Design Method to decorate several stunning yet simple dining settings. The relaxed atmosphere of our Design & Dine evening makes it a great opportunity to bring your spouse, partner or alter ego to experience Chameleon Style®.

Door Prizes and some special sale items round out the evening.

Sewing Basic Bootcamp

Learn all the sewing techniques to sew just about anything for your home. Learn how to draft pillow patterns, make piping (welting), installing zippers, round table cloths and our famous "tube technique" for easily matching prints. This class is great for a newbie to sewing or just wanting to refresh your skills.

Designing & Creating your Ideal Master Bedroom

Date: Thursday, October 18
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Fee: $25.00

Creating the perfect master suite is often challenging but probably the most important room in the house to experience the rest you need to refresh your soul. Camay will guide you through the steps and considerations for your ideal bedroom including bed coverings, headboards, duvets, window treatments, seating and more! Bring your own list of design challenges and we will explore your individual project.

Fabric Inspiration
Lanai Collection I and II
Our newest curations reflecting a "lanai look" are identical except for the "Key - Inspiration Fabric". Shake & Stir, color Bellini on the left has a subtle tropical feel while Amelia Coral is vibrant and bold. Both Key Fabrics have a touch of our Chameleon Style® Bridge Color Seamist, which means the bold tones of the bright coral can be toned down but retain the lively tropical feel.

Thank you to all who took the time to do our online survey of the newest fabric samples from the June High Point Fabric Show. And the fabric winners shown above are the delightful grey neutral floral, Timeless Jacobean color Smoke. I expected the greys to still be strong and many people are more comfortable with conventional "neutrals".

But I was ecstatic to find #23 (Original Song color Coral) came in as a close second for overall votes in the three categories combined! The bold coral flowers with bright teal and green leaves on the crisp white background was one of my personal favorites. You can imagine my delight to see that so many of you found it appealing too.

Kaden Midsize
Our signature look for our Chameleon Fine Furniture ™ is to have slipcovers that are taut and tailored. We decided to dress our Kaden Midsize in a great washable cotton from the Ellen Degeneres Collection: Cleary Twine. We used our French Flat flange to edge the seat and back cushions, added a skirt and voila... a relaxed cottagey look that can go anywhere.
Lielle Sofa
For any of you Chameleon Style® aficionados, you know how I love purple and this Lielle (94") Sofa is a knockout in Taxi Plum. The fabric is plush and stunning, while the block legs give a modern feel to this Chameleon Classic.
Jessica Sofa
This whimsical collage of fabrics welcomes fall colors. Margaret helped Debra design her third cover for her Jessica Sofa. Hip Chocolate was the inspiration for the collage. We'll be featuring more collages on a special page on our website coming soon...
Rachel Chairs
The Rachel Chair is a classic club chair and a Chameleon favorite. Pictured above are a pair of Rachels dressed in Downton Mist. Its soft seamist colors reflect a subtle beach mode or a classic traditional feel.
Kelsey Loveseat
It's hard to believe that the Kelsey Love Seat dressed in Swift Zinc is totally washable. The Kelsey can look Farmhouse or City. It's comfy too!
