Leadership Harrisburg Area invites and encourages you to join the online event “Something’s Wrong: A Conversation in Civility, Equity & Solutions.” The purpose is to engage community members in an open and honest (maybe difficult) conversation about racism in our community; to cross pollinate perspectives; brainstorm solutions; identify each individual’s responsibility to make a difference; and commit to taking the next step.
Just as our nation is turning the corner from COVID 19’s devastation, injustice reminded us that it’s still here and it cannot be ignored. After the death of another black man, and a week of reactions and protests, we must do something, take the first step, a personal step, toward a solution. Leadership Harrisburg Area has hosted countless conversations around diversity, tolerance, equity, and inclusion in efforts to overcome racism. Hundreds of people have participated…hundreds. We’ve managed to explore tough issues and enter into some uncomfortable, but transformative, conversations resulting in new perspectives and understanding. With today’s events comes an opportunity to broaden the conversation with a shared sense of urgency. Your leadership in this matter is essential. Please register to participate.
