Making Connections That Help Businesses Grow
At Coastal Community Capital, we recognize that helping small businesses succeed involves more than providing access to financing. It also means helping business owners and entrepreneurs access the people, information, and resources they need to start, grow, and strengthen their businesses.
Coastal regularly participates in and supports a variety of networking and educational events including workshops throughout our region. These gatherings bring together business owners, lenders, economic development organizations, and other professionals to share knowledge, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and explore new opportunities.
This month is no exception. On October 15, Coastal is sponsoring a SCORE workshop focused on helping hospitality businesses attract more visitors and grow their bottom line. On October 21, Coastal will participate in the SBA's South Coast Capital and Resources Matchmaker, where I'll join an Access to Capital panel and our team will be available to meet with attendees.
Whether you're starting a business, exploring financing options, looking to expand, or simply hoping to meet others in the business community, we encourage you to seek out these events, ask questions, and take advantage of what they have to offer. You never know when a conversation or new introduction might lead to your next opportunity.
At Coastal, we're proud to be part of these efforts and look forward to continuing to support the businesses and communities we serve.
With appreciation,
Mike Healy
| | | Borrower Spotlight: Yannatos Physical Therapy | |
This month, we’re proud to highlight Yannatos Physical Therapy and its owners, Christina Yannatos and Andrew Seguin, in their acquisition of a commercial property at 1105 Route 28 in South Yarmouth. Utilizing the SBA 504 loan program, the borrowers purchased and renovated a larger facility that will serve as the practice’s long-term home, allowing the business to expand its treatment capacity while gaining the stability and visibility that comes with ownership.
Founded in 2023, Yannatos Physical Therapy is a family-owned outpatient clinic focused on helping patients improve strength, function, and independence through evidence-based care. The practice offers a wide range of physical therapy services and has experienced rapid growth since opening, driven by strong local demand, an expanding clinical team, and a growing reputation across Cape Cod.
The new facility provides approximately 700 additional square feet of space and allows the practice to customize its layout, equipment, and patient experience to better support future growth. The owners anticipate adding additional staff as demand continues to increase, further expanding access to physical therapy services for the local community.
Through the SBA 504 loan program, the project was completed with just a 10% down payment, preserving working capital for ongoing operations and future growth. Coastal Community Capital was proud to partner with Donnie Robicheau, Vice President at Cape & Coast Bank, whose team provided 50% of the financing, while Coastal Community Capital funded 40%
Per the borrowers: “Coastal Community Capital was an essential part of our acquisition team. The timeline of getting funding was paramount for our success. We applied for financing during a government shut down, but Coastal was able to obtain SBA approval immediately upon re-opening, which allowed us to move the closing date up by almost a month! This made the seller happy and provided a little breathing room in the renovation schedule. Coastal Community Capital’s work on the front end and throughout the process really made for a great experience!”

About the SBA 504 Program
Coastal partners with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and your bank or credit union to finance up to 90% of large, fixed asset purchases that facilitate job creation or business growth including owner-occupied real estate and equipment. Coastal, through the SBA, offers rates fixed for the entire 10-, 20- or 25-year term of its loan that are typically more competitive than conventional bank financing.

SBA 504 fee waivers for FY27 qualifying businesses
The SBA recently announced continued fee relief for certain businesses utilizing the SBA 504 Loan Program, available now. Qualifying manufacturers, businesses operating within key segments of the food supply chain, and eligible rural businesses may benefit from the waiver of both the SBA upfront guaranty fee and annual service fee on 504 loans, including debt refinance projects with or without expansion. This initiative is designed to support industries that play a critical role in economic growth, domestic production, and community development.
| | | For eligible manufacturers, food supply chain businesses, and rural businesses, this enhanced SBA incentive can translate into thousands of dollars in savings over the life of a 504 loan, making now an especially attractive time to finance growth, refinance eligible debt, or invest in owner-occupied commercial real estate. Combined with the 504 program's long-term, fixed-rate financing structure, this fee relief may help businesses preserve cash flow, improve project affordability, and move forward with expansion or refinancing plans with greater confidence. Businesses considering a project in the coming year are encouraged to call Coastal Community Capital to explore whether they qualify for these valuable savings opportunities. | |
Women's Small Business Month
This Women's Small Business Month, we’re celebrating the women entrepreneurs who are building businesses, creating jobs and strengthening our communities.
At Coastal Community Capital, we’re proud to count many women-owned businesses among those we’ve had the privilege of supporting, and these are just a few examples. These women have turned ideas into successful businesses, grown their companies and created opportunities in their communities.
Here’s to the women who take the leap, lead with purpose and make a difference in our local economy. We’re proud to be part of their journey — and excited to see what they accomplish next.
