How to Identify a
Quality Breast Center?
By Comparison: Invite external observers to assess or travel to other centers

Problem: Breast centers find it expensive to bring in outside surveyors to evaluate your program and also find it difficult to travel for quality improvement
(travel costs, time off, etc).
Our Solution: Establish a web-based quality platform available to every breast center: NQMBC 2.0

  • The National Quality Measures for Breast Centers first went live in 2005

  • All NCBC facility members have full access to NQMBC without charge

  • The database uses real-world data for comparisons

  • 9.5M Patients 44K Data points 641 Facilities 45 Quality Measures

  • Choose a measure and immediately view performance compared with other similar centers in complete anonymity

  • Print Real Time Aggregated and Serial Data Reports
‌
And now we’ve totally updated to NQMBC 2.0

Improving Care with NQMBC 2.0

•Measure Care
•Compare with Others
•Improve

Breast centers choosing to participate in the newly improved NQMBC 2.0 program will join a national quality documentation program based on clearly defined measures with over a decade of experience, hundreds of breast center participants and millions of data points. Each of the disciplines of breast centers are included in the quality measures.

Participants may confidentially compare their quality performance to the results from all other users of the program in real time. Using specific filters, a center
can compare their own performance with centers just like their own breast center. In addition, the program tracks their own performance over time. Participants may voluntarily select any of the measures for submission---from one to the entire complement of measures.

The NQMBC program is the only breast care-specific quality management program of its type examining performance across the entire patient's journey from screening through diagnosis, surgery and adjuvant therapies. This unique web-based program provides real-time monitoring of service delivery performance and professional and clinical outcomes.
