Dear Members of the Body of Christ at Nassau Presbyterian Church,

Some of you may remember hearing mention of some major work being planned for our sanctuary. After receiving a very generous gift from a member of our church, the Session approved using a portion of the gift to renovate and improve the lighting in our worship space. The research and planning for the project has been underway for about a year. We are excited to share with you that the work is now set to begin after Easter.

The magnitude of the work will require us to worship elsewhere on Sunday mornings. Some will remember a few seasons in Nassau’s life when the congregation worshipped in the Seminary Chapel. Once again, Princeton Theological Seminary has granted our request to worship in their Chapel (64 Mercer St, Princeton, NJ 08542, in the central quad.)

Many, many details for our worship experience at the Seminary Chapel are still being developed. As your pastors, we are committed to regular communication over the next few months to share more details, fill in the gaps, and answer your questions. This note will be first of many!

Right now, the plan calls for us to begin worshipping at the Seminary Chapel on Sunday, April 27, 2025, the Sunday after Easter. Livestreams of worship will continue to be available. Parking will be plentiful! In the weeks ahead, our regular correspondence with you will give information on worship time, Sunday morning plans for children and youth, adult education, fellowship, bus details, and much more.

We hope you will join us in our excitement about a project that will transform our worship experience and enhance the sanctuary’s appeal for our congregation and the wider Princeton community for generations to come. By God’s grace and yes, by moving forward in faith together, we pray for patience and understanding as we look to a season of worship that will be a bit different for us all! God is faithful and God’s people will continue to respond to God’s steadfast love with worship and praise!

With grace and peace (and more to come!)
