According to results of a study from the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, Urolithin A exhibited significant benefits for muscle endurance, muscle strength, inflammatory levels, oxidative stress, and protein metabolism status compared to placebo in resistance-trained male athletes.

A recent analysis of SAMe supplements sold on Amazon found 20 of 24 failed potency tests. A man was arrested for selling counterfeit Pure Encapsulations products. Minerals
Preventive - calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, boron
Detrimental (if taking too much) - calcium, phosphorous, iron, copper
Herbs and Phytochemicals
Preventive - curcumin, allium vegetables, brassica vegetables, green tea, berries, prunes, resveratrol
Detrimental (if intolerant) - curcumin
Dairy
Preventive - organic fermented dairy, organic cheese, grass-fed milk
Detrimental (if intolerant) - organic fermented dairy, organic cheese, grass-fed milk
Fats
Preventive - monounsaturated fats such as nuts, avocados, olive oil, and organic canola; omega-3 fatty acids such as fish; saturated fat from organic animal products
