VIRGINIA EARLY INTERVENTION PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
UPDATE
MAY/JUNE 2022
Farewell to Dana
Dana Childress has accepted a faculty position at Old Dominion University effective July 1st. During Dana’s 12 years with the VA EI Professional Development team she has helped elevate our work on both a national and international level. Dana’s blog, EI Strategies for Success, her podcasts, EI on the Fly, and so many other initiatives exemplify her extensive knowledge, skills, and creativity. Dana will be sorely missed but we wish her much happiness and success in her new endeavors.

“As a local system manager for over fourteen years I have found the Virginia Early Intervention Professional Development website to be one of my favorite ‘go to’ places for all things EI. I especially like the Early Intervention Strategies for Success Blog, and use it often as a tool during staff meetings to start conversations on issues/situations that are unique to working in homes. The “What Would You Do?” blog category is full of some of my favorite situational scenarios and is an excellent resource for new home visitors as they work to develop a sense of professional boundaries.”
