The Rundown is designed to keep residents informed about Recreational news, programming, activities, and events happening in the community. Please share this sign-up form with any friends or neighbors who may be interested in receiving regular Village updates. | | Celebrated on June 1, National Say Something Nice Day was created in 2006 to counteract bullying and promote kinder, more civil communication. It highlights the power of words to lift spirits and rebuild relationships in an often-negative world. Observe it by offering a genuine compliment to a coworker, thanking a service worker, or sending a kind text to a friend. | | |

Ignite your Independence Day spirit with a bang!!!
The Village of Tarrytown is hosting its annual Independence Day fireworks, featuring a special display to celebrate America's 250th anniversary! Fireworks are set to begin at dark and will be launched from a barge on the river. KickStart Charlie is returning to the stage with another energetic performance. Kid friendly fun: face painting & bouncy castle!
Confirmed food vendors that will surely get you craving for MORE: Wanna Empanada, Cousins Maine Lobster, Crazy Taco-Mex, Mostly Dough Mobile Pizza, Mr. Softee/Nathans Famous, Duck Donuts & Jimmy's Soft Serve & MORE!
It is STRONGLY recommended that you take the train into Tarrytown due to expected HEAVY traffic. In the event of rain, we will only be postponing the fireworks display if there are unsafe thunder and lightning conditions at the time of expected launch. Please check the Village homepage if there are any questions.
Watch as the fireworks illuminate the night's sky over the Hudson River :)
| | |
If you live within walking distance, it is highly recommended that you walk to the park. If visiting from outside of Tarrytown, taking the train is the best way to get to Pierson Park due to limited parking and traffic congestion in the immediate area. Vehicular access to our riverfront will be limited from approximately 6:00 PM through the conclusion of the fireworks display.
Please be sure to follow all posted parking regulations.
Once the "H-bridge" closes down (approximately 6:30 p.m. OR earlier if the lots fill up), cars will not be permitted to exit until the "H-bridge" opens again (contingent upon pedestrian traffic clearing up after the fireworks conclude).

Stretch into the sunshine and flow into total relaxation!
Celebrate International Yoga Day and the summer solstice with a special, extended outdoor asana (posture) practice. Move through a fluid vinyasa flow accompanied by the uplifting vibrations of live music, aligning your breath and movement under the open sky. We will conclude this deep practice with a grounding pranayama (breathwork) session and a guided meditation to channel the vibrant solar energy of the new season.
Come find your shanti (peace) and honor the start of summer in community.

Mexican Folklore & Traditions Through Dance!
| | |
Mark it down: Sunday, August 9th: Raices Y Ritmo
Founded in White Plains, NY in 2019, Grupo Kaukalli was created with a passion for preserving and sharing the beauty of Mexican folklore and traditions through dance. Every performance is a celebration of our raíces—honoring the stories, rhythms, and cultural pride passed down through generations.
Through every step and every skirt, we bring our heritage to life while creating joy, connection, and community.
Join us for Raíces y Ritmo as we celebrate culture, music, and tradition together. More than a performance, it is a tribute to who we are and the beauty of sharing our culture with others. Event is free and open to the public.
