VALLEY 200 TOP ADVISORS LIST

For the fifth year in a row, the San Fernando Valley Business Journal has honored founding partner Richard S. Rosenberg by including Richard in the publication’s Valley 200 List as a Top Advisor. According to the publisher, the Valley 200 List contains the 200 most influential industry leaders in healthcare, government, real estate, finance, education, law and accounting in the San Fernando, Conejo, Santa Clarita, Simi and Antelope Valley regions of Los Angeles. MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMEN IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION

In June, the San Fernando Valley Business Journal published its first ever listing of the Most Influential Women in the Legal Profession. We are pleased to announce that the listing included our partner Katherine A. Hren. Katherine was one of only 20 women lawyers included for this honor.

BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA

The 27th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America was just published. It highlights the top 6% of private practicing attorneys in the US. We are pleased to announce that five of our partners were selected for this prestigious listing for 2022-23.

For partners Kenneth R. Ballard, Richard S. Rosenberg, Linda Miller Savitt and Of Counsel John B. Golper, this marks their 15^th consecutive year of being included in this prestigious ranking. New to the list this year is our litigation and trial partner Eric C. Schwettmann. Our partners have been selected for their expertise and consistently strong performance in the following practice areas: Employment Law/Management, Labor Law/ Management Litigation & Labor and Employment.

According to the publisher, the latest Edition is based on more than 8 million evaluations and recognizes attorneys in 147 practice areas. U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT RANKS BRGS AS A “TIER 1” LOS ANGELES LAW FIRM

For the third year in a row, Ballard, Rosenberg, Golper & Savitt, LLP was included in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Lawyers & Best Law Firms rankings for 2022. Notably, the Firm was named as a Los Angeles area “Tier 1” firm in the following three practice areas: (i) labor law-management; (ii) litigation–labor & employment; and (iii) employment law–management.

According to the publisher, law firms included in its "Best Law Firms" edition are recognized for professional excellence with consistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. Achieving tiered ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise.

THOMSON REUTERS’ SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SUPER LAWYERS LIST

Several of the Firm's lawyers have been included on the 2022 Southern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. The Super Lawyers list, a Thomson Reuters business publication, is a service that rates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. We are especially pleased to be included on this list because no more than five percent of the lawyers in Southern California are selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list.

This year's Southern California Super Lawyers list includes partners Kenneth R. Ballard, Richard S. Rosenberg, Linda Miller Savitt, Eric C. Schwettmann, of Counsel John B. Golper, and Senior Counsel Linda B. Hurevitz. Ken, Richard, Linda and John have been included on this list since the inception of the ranking 14 years ago.

In addition, Super Lawyers bestowed additional honors on Linda Miller Savitt. Linda was selected as a Top 50 Southern California Super Lawyer and Top 100 Southern California Super Lawyer.

Partner Matthew B. Golper was named a Southern California Super Lawyer “Rising Star” (the publications under 40 listing).

FORBES MAGAZINE LEGAL BLACK BOOK

Forbes Legal Black Book, created by Forbes Business Division, is a compendium of elite law firms recognized for providing critical legal services to major U.S. and global corporations. This is the third year in a row that Ballard Rosenberg Golper and Savitt, LLP has made the list. According to the publisher, selection is based on a law firm’s track record of providing outside counsel to top corporations, practice area range and focus, and high rankings for quality of execution in multiple reviews.

COMMITTEES AND AWARDS

Continuing to follow in the footsteps of former Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) President Linda Miller Savitt, Partner Eric C. Schwettmann was elected to the ASCDC Executive Committee as Vice President and will be President in 2024-2025. Eric is currently Co-Chair of the employment law and CACI jury instruction sub-committee and a member of the California Defense Counsel, which works with the ASCDC’s lobbyists in Sacramento on legislative issues of state-wide importance to employers and businesses.

The Los Angeles Chapter of American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) selected Linda Miller Savitt as the chapter’s nominee for the statewide organization’s (Cal-ABOTA) Trial Lawyer of the Year. This was the third year in a row that Linda was selected for this prestigious honor.

Partner Katherine A. Hren is serving another year on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Employment law section and is on the planning committee for the section’s annual Employment Law Symposium conference.
