LET’S TALK TRASH
CELEBRATE EARTH DAY!

Join us to learn what Friends of Palm Beach does for the environment and our community. Diane Buhler will outline the reality of our local ecosystem and how trash makes its way to our beaches.

The plastics that end up in our oceans are harmful to marine life and humans. Find out how individuals can make simple choices every day at the grocery store, at work, and at home to decrease our impact of single use plastics and waste in our community.

Diane Buhler founded and runs the non-profit Friends of Palm Beach. While living on Palm Beach, Diane was confronted with the reality of the marine debris washing ashore regularly. Educating herself on the whys of this she learned that Palm Beach juts out the furthest east toward the majestic Gulf Stream and hence gets the lion’s share of marine debris along Florida’s coastline. 'Friends' removes trash from private beaches through weekday cleaning with a crew throughout the year.
