DID YOU KNOW…
BID’s Ambassador program is entering its 8th year this summer! Ambassadors work in the summer and fall in Downtown and are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They help anyone and everyone visiting Downtown find what they need. Whether it’s recommendations for dinner, a shop to find that perfect gift, or assistance with a parking meter, Ambassadors are here to help. Since 2016, BID’s Ambassadors have created nearly 43,000 positive interactions and thousands of businesses referrals with people visiting Downtown - either families, couples, individuals or small groups.

FURTHERMORE…
BID’s two primary staff members, Tim and Tanya, have a combined 45 years of experience in planning events! Events are a great way to draw traffic, raise awareness, fundraise and show off your fun side. BID manages four annual events: San Juan Brewfest, Downtown Balloon Glow, Children’s Halloween, and Singing with Santa. BID is available to help you plan your event, especially if it has potential positive impact on Downtown and/or the North Main District. Email us to chat: timw@downtowndurango.org and tanyac@downtowndurango.org.

MORE FUN FACTS
BID’s Rewards Programs started during COVID to encourage and incentivize local shopping. Since the first one at the end of 2020 to the just completed Spring 2023 Rewards Program (presented by Alpine Bank and sponsored by Urban Market and Durango Chamber of Commerce), these promotions have generated $860,000 in spending at local stores. The next Rewards Program will occur this holiday shopping season. We expect to surpass $1 million in total sales by year-end!
