Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear KML Family,

What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving? It’s a question worth reflecting on every day, though the busyness of life often makes it hard to pause and truly consider. There are countless reasons to give thanks, but today I’m especially thankful for purpose.

God has uniquely gifted each of us to serve his kingdom here on earth. What a blessing to shine his light in a world that so often feels dark—to live as he designed us to live according to his values and to make his name known. At KML we are deeply thankful for the opportunity to help raise up the next generation of Christian leaders who live with grateful hearts, grounded in the richness of God’s blessings—the greatest of which is Jesus Christ, our Savior.

God’s blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving!

In Christ,

President Luehring

Staff News

Join us in welcoming Mr. Bill Mantz to our Learning Center team!

Mr. Mantz is no stranger to KML as he and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of two Charger alumni: Lauren ('09, husband Dave) and Brandon ('11, wife Micki). Also, the spring of '26 will be Mr. Mantz's 18th year as KML's assistant varsity baseball coach!

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends; going on long walks, hikes, and bike rides; and doing small renovations on the house and yard. As an avid Wisconsin sports fan, he cheers on the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, and Packers.

We're glad to have you joining us in your new position at KML, Mr. Mantz!

12 Days of Christmas Coffee Fundraiser

KML is once again partnering with Coffeeville Company to raise money for KML’s 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser to support families in need. The names of the families we are raising money for in 2025 will be announced soon.

For each $16 bag of premium 12 oz. coffee sold, Coffeeville is donating $3 back to the 12 Days of Christmas. Bags are sold with whole OR ground coffee beans and make great gifts for the coffee-lovers on your Christmas list! Both regular and decaf coffee available.

Prizes will be awarded to KML students with the top number of sales. You may choose a KML student to receive credit for your order, if you wish, by naming them on the order form.

Place your order online today at

kmlhs.org/12days.

Deadline to Order: Friday, December 5, 2025

Late orders cannot be honored.

Orders will be available for pick up in the PAC Lobby on December 12 from 2:50-4:00 PM.

If you are unable to pick up your order at these times and do not choose a KML student to deliver it to you (option on order form), please contact the KML Main Office (office@kmlhs.org) after placing your order.

Save the Date!

As we prepare our hearts for this season of Thanksgiving, we invite you to be All In with us as we celebrate God’s abundant blessings.

Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to generosity-an opportunity to support the causes and ministries that align with our passions and beliefs.

This Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025, we ask for your prayers and support as we work to bridge the gap between what families pay in tuition and the actual cost to educate each student. We are thankful to the Lord for a generous group of donors who have provided a challenge gift. This means your Giving Tuesday donation will be multiplied to make an even greater impact!

On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, we ask you to join us in prayer and share your support to help bridge the gap and keep KML tuition affordable and accessible for more families. Mark your calendar, spread the word, and stay tuned for more details.

Host a Costa Rican Student for 2 Weeks!

KML is looking for more families for the upcoming exchange from January 15-28, 2026. No Spanish knowledge needed, just an extra room and a desire to share your family and culture with others.

More information about the exchange is available at bit.ly/hostingexchange.

We would like to have all the families signed up by November 30. Please contact Maestra Micah Nelson (micah.nelson@kmlhs.org) for more information.

Host an International Student in 2026-2027

KML is seeking families to host international students for the 2026-2027 school year. The number of host families that we have available determines the number of international student applications we will be able to accept. Host families receive a stipend of $800/month to provide housing, meals, and transportation from early to mid-August through the end of May.

KML’s international students are required to have a high level of English fluency, but may not be used to speaking English all the time. Many of them also experience American culture for the first time when they come to KML, and our foods and customs take time to get used to. Host families need to be patient, understanding, and open-minded about the addition of an international student to their family.

Applications for hosting for the 2026-2027 school year need to be submitted by March 15, 2026. If you are interested in serving as a host family, complete and submit the KMLHS Host Family Application.

Fellowship & Basketball

A group of men from across the KML Federation meets to play basketball at KML on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5:45-7:00 AM, and they are looking for additional players! It's early in the morning, but a great way to start the day right, get in shape, and enjoy some fellowship and fun.

This is a friendly group with a variety of skill levels. No long-term commitment and no cost - play as frequently as you'd like!

For questions or to get access to the sign up sheet and be placed on the email list, please contact Mike Willis (414.286.1070; mjwillis2021@gmail.com).
