NEW ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION OFFERING:
Signs and Wonders: A Beginner's Guide to the Miracles of Jesus
Sundays ~ 9:30 AM
Rm. 31 of Education Bldg. or by Zoom link here
Meeting ID: 878 4884 3240 Password: 510649
Most Christians know the nature miracle of Jesus "Stilling the Storm", which is the subject for discussion in the second chapter of Amy Jill Levine's book. Ms. Levine writes about how this miracle tells us something about Christ, the Hebrew scriptures, and ourselves. There seem to be new lessons to learn each time one reads Mark's telling of this event. This study hopefully offers new insights and inspiration for faith.
"Pouring into Our Parents" (POP)
Sundays ~ 9:30 AM ~ 2nd floor of the Christian Education Bldg.
Children & Family Ministries offers a parenting class on Sunday mornings and welcomes parents with newborn babies to high schoolers. This class, Pouring into Our Parents (POP), meets at 9:30 AM in the Library on the second floor of the Christian Education building. The class will begin with a series on what a gospel-centered parent looks like. Discussions and readings hit on family codes, discipline, trust, times of suffering, hope, and grace.
We extend the love of God (Outreach/Parishioner Support)
Bridging the Gap

CHRIST CHURCH PARISH
OPEN DOORS CAMPAIGN
Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it
may be matched by your completion of it,
according to your means. (2 Corinthians 8:11)
Inspired by the stained-glass window of Jesus Christ knocking at the door, the Open Doors Campaign addresses a question facing us today: What can we do to invite and welcome those knocking at the door of Christ Church? Now is the time for the people who are Christ Church to come together to transform our physical buildings to answer this question. After listening sessions, small group presentations and feedback, and tweaking plans to prepare for construction, now is the last step: funding this vital and transformational project. We hope to receive pledges from all pledging households by Monday, May 15.
If you have not had an opportunity to learn about the plan, you can check out the website or contact Honey Harris. We have been through a thorough process of creating a plan that addresses the needs of the future generations of Christ Church. The committee has worked hard to communicate the needs and solutions of this plan, but in short, this plan creates a true entrance to our church, addresses accessibility challenges, and builds a new kitchen, library, and bathrooms. We are passionate about addressing these needs and the opportunities for ministry for generations to come. Now is the time to open the doors for the future of Christ Church.

BROTHERHOOD PRESENTS BIBLES TO GRADUATING SENIORS
ON YOUTH SUNDAY
This past Sunday, the Brotherhood of St. Andrew presented our graduating seniors with an NRSV Bible that includes three printed plates inside: the first with their name, to recall that they are a beloved child of God; the second with the logo of the Brotherhood, to recall Christ Church and this special Christian faith community; and the third with an applicable scriptural passage — "All scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work." – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is the Episcopal Church men's group charged with bringing Christ to men and youth. They congratulate the 2023 seniors and their hopes and prayers are with them all as they go forward into adulthood and the future!

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Office.
