On July 23, 2020, Carolyn Grey celebrated her 24th anniversary as Director of Financial Services for Louisville Regional Baptist Association. She has also served as Assistant Clerk for the Association for many years.

We thank the Lord for Carolyn's dedication and service to the churches of LRBA. We are grateful for her spirit of cooperation and "behind the scenes" work that gives us the ability to effectively minister to LRBA churches and beyond.
Congratulations to Rev. John Duty, who on the first Sunday in August will be celebrating 30 years of service as pastor of Rutledge Road Baptist Church.

The staff and churches of LRBA praise the Lord for this faithful servant whose compassionate ministry has reflected the love of his Savior to his community, the state, and around the world. We congratulate both Bro. John and his wife, Cathy, on this significant milestone of ministry. May God bless you richly as you continue to serve Him.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
REQUEST FROM BRIAN HINTON, REGIONAL CAMPUS MINISTER

Greetings LRBA Churches,

Campus Housing is excited to welcome our incoming and returning students to campus this fall! While move-in will take place on various dates this year, our team expects the highest need for volunteers to be on Wednesday, August 12 th through Friday, August 14 th, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Full move-in details can be viewed on our move-in page here.

We need your help to make these days run as efficiently and positive as possible! By volunteering your time, you will receive the following benefits:
  • A Card Crew Move-In Volunteer T-shirt;
  • A free meal or snack* prior to your volunteer shift, either breakfast or lunch or snack (3rd shift only)

To promote a healthy and safe move-in process, volunteers WILL NOT be offer “hands-on” assistance, rather, volunteer task will include:
  • Vehicle Checkpoints
  • Parking Traffic
  • Move-In Bin Management
  • Floater
  • Front Door Traffic

To join the Cards Crew team, you can sign-up by completing the Cards Crew Move-In Volunteer Form. Please sign up as a UofL BCM (Baptist Campus Ministry )-Your Church’s name Volunteer. In order to receive a Cards Crew Move-In T-Shirt, you must complete the form no later than Monday, July 20 th by 3:00 pm. We will strive to accommodate additional T-shirt requests after July 20 th but cannot guarantee volunteers preferences will be honored. The last day to sign up to volunteer will be Friday, July 31 st  by 4:30 pm.

WE STILL HAVE FREE MASKS FOR DISTRIBUTION!
FEMA has given us a good supply of reusable-washable cotton masks. These masks can be washed up to 15 times and are FREE to LRBA churches who have need of them. They are only available to ministries and churches, not businesses or individuals, and they are not to be sold. Contact the LRBA office at (502) 635-2601 today to reserve your masks. Distribution will be on a first come, first served basis.

CONNECTING LEADERS UPDATE
At the beginning of the Covid-19 shutdown we began the Connecting Leaders meetings via Zoom. After survey responses here is what is next.

Our next gathering will be on August 3rd at 8am and will continue on the first Monday of each month.

Our next LRBA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING will be held at 12 noon on August 24, 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church. NO MEAL WILL BE SERVED.

We will meet in the sanctuary and will practice social distancing. Masks and sanitizer will be available.
