HEALTH & SAFETY TIP OF THE MONTH:

Stay Alert on the Road

Fall brings shorter days and increased deer activity, creating additional hazards for drivers. Stay focused, minimize distractions, and allow extra stopping distance, especially during dawn and dusk when deer are most active. If you spot one deer near the roadway, be prepared for others nearby. Staying alert and driving defensively can help reduce your risk of a collision.

Did You Know?

More than 1 million wildlife-vehicle collisions occur annually in the United States, with deer accounting for the majority of incidents. The highest-risk period is typically October through December, when seasonal deer movement and reduced daylight increase the likelihood of collisions.
