Hello First Presbyterian Church,
For these past few weeks of our Stewardship Campaign, we've been using the words of Paul, particularly from his letter to the church in Philippi. His message to this congregation is to encourage them in a time of conflict by reminding them of who they are and the wonderful ministry they have built together. Keep being themselves, and God will be at work in them. My message for you all is the same. Keep doing what you are doing - keep loving, keep serving, keep using your gifts to build up our shared ministry, and we will see God at work in us.
I am so pleased to report that the legacy and spirit of generosity continues in this place, as we have so far received 58 pledges! My sincerest gratitude to those of you who have already answered the call and turned in your pledge! This helps us so much as we plan for next year's budget and ministry needs.
For those of you who are still working on getting in your pledge, we are holding a second drawing for gift cards on Monday morning! There's still time for you to get in on the fun.
