Pabst Brewing Co. Partners with New Holland on PBR-Branded Whiskey

Pabst Brewing Co . appears to be jumping into the spirits product category with the help of a West Michigan brewery and distillery. New Holland Brewing Co . received federal label approval for a Pabst-branded whiskey last month, suggesting that the Holland-based company will serve as the contract distiller for the product. Colorado-Based Montanya Distillers Rums Arrive in France

V&B, a high-end curated boutique that sells spirits, wine and beer, now sells rums from Crested Butte, Colorado-based Montanya Distillers in 180 of its locations. Montanya’s Oro and Platino rums are both available in V&B’s 150 stores and its 30 tasting bars as part of V&B’s “Born to Be Craft” portfolio. The rums are shipped in bulk to Spain where they are bottled and then shipped on to France, helping to make the overseas partnership a business and environmental success. (Drinkable Globe)

Indiana's 3 Floyds Finally Set to Open Tasting Room

Munster, Indiana’s 3 Floyds completed work on its distillery building years ago, and spokespeople said last year the public tasting room would finally open in the fall of 2018 and then December after it worked through permitting and other bureaucratic issues. That didn't happen. But the distillery's long-awaited craft cocktail bar now appears to be close to finally opening its doors. 3 Floyds announced online Monday it is hiring for various distillery positions, including barback, bartender, host and server. Charleston Distilling Expanding

A Charleston County distillery that makes small-batch bourbon and other spirits is expanding its operations with $4.2 million in equipment and a new facility, the company said Thursday. The expansion by Charleston Distilling is expected to create 29 jobs at the company’s 3548 Meeks Farm Road location in Johns Island. (Post and Courier)
