Celebrating the Passage of H.B. 6894:

An Act Establishing an Interagency Council on Homelessness!

We are excited to share that Governor Lamont has signed H.B. 6894, An Act Establishing an Interagency Council on Homelessness –– into law!

This bill, a priority for the CT CAN End Homelessness campaign, marks a major milestone in our collective efforts to prevent and solve homelessness in Connecticut.

We are so pleased to see the ICH officially codified in statute, and we are deeply grateful for the leadership and hard work of the Governor’s Interagency Taskforce on Homelessness, whose efforts laid the foundation for this historic moment.

Thanks especially the new End Homelessness Caucus, to Caucus Chair Roberts and Vice Chair Sweet, and to the co-Chairs of the Housing Committee, Senator Marx and Representative Felipe, for their leadership in getting this bill passed.
